AI is powerful, but there’s a trap most people fall into:
They let AI become their only source of information.
That’s risky. AI can summarise the internet; but it can also introduce bias, outdated info, or confident-sounding mistakes.
The smarter approach is this:
Use Google and real sources to gather information, and use AI to organise and clarify it.
Here’s the 10-minute workflow.
Step 1: Rapid Source Scan With Google (3 minutes)
Start with a focused Google search to collect diverse perspectives.
Search your topic and quickly open 3–5 credible sources:
A reputable article or publication
A recent blog
A forum or discussion thread (for real-world perspectives)
If relevant: a research paper or official site
You’re not reading deeply yet. You’re scanning headlines, intros, and conclusions to understand the range of viewpoints.
The goal is exposure to multiple human sources, not a single AI-generated summary.
Step 2: Extract the Key Points (3 minutes)
As you skim, copy the most important paragraphs or notes into a document.
Focus on:
Core arguments or facts
Repeated themes across sources
Any disagreements or nuances
This step forces active thinking. You’re deciding what matters: not outsourcing judgement to AI.
Step 3: Use AI to Organise (2 minutes)
Now bring in AI as your research assistant.
Paste your notes and ask:
“Organise these notes into clear themes and summarise the key insights. Highlight any conflicting viewpoints.”
AI shines here. It turns messy information into structure without being your primary source of truth.
Step 4: Pressure-Test Your Understanding (2 minutes)
Finally, use AI to challenge your conclusions.
Ask:
“What are the strongest counterarguments or limitations to these ideas?”
This step reduces confirmation bias and strengthens your understanding.
The Result
Instead of replacing research with AI, you combine the best of both worlds:
Human sources for information → AI for clarity and structure
You get speed without sacrificing critical thinking.
And in a world flooded with AI-generated content, this hybrid workflow helps you stay sharp, informed, and independent.
Happy Monday all. I hope you all have a great week.

Dictate prompts and tag files automatically
Stop typing reproductions and start vibing code. Wispr Flow captures your spoken debugging flow and turns it into structured bug reports, acceptance tests, and PR descriptions. Say a file name or variable out loud and Flow preserves it exactly, tags the correct file, and keeps inline code readable. Use voice to create Cursor and Warp prompts, call out a variable like user_id, and get copy you can paste straight into an issue or PR. The result is faster triage and fewer context gaps between engineers and QA. Learn how developers use voice-first workflows in our Vibe Coding article at wisprflow.ai. Try Wispr Flow for engineers.
